Engineering updates

On some Macs running macOS 26, the Clip 4 Breakfast icon could disappear shortly after launch, and the history window would open on its own instead. The app checks after starting whether macOS has actually placed its icon, and on certain displays that check misjudged a placed icon as missing and removed it. The check now recognises a placed icon on every display, so the icon stays where it belongs. Reported by a user and tracked down with their help.
Text copied inside IntelliJ IDEA was not reaching the clipboard history, while every other app worked. JetBrains and other Java IDEs hand the system a lazily-fulfilled clipboard entry that Clip 4 Breakfast's isolated capture helper could not read, so the copy was dropped. The app now falls back to reading the text directly when the helper cannot, so the copy is kept. The fallback is limited to text, leaving the memory handling for large graphics unchanged, and it still runs through Safe Paste redaction review. Reported by a user; reproduced and fixed with a live IntelliJ install.
Press ⌃⌥S and click a window, and the capture returns to your clipboard already framed on a designed backdrop, with padding, rounded corners, a soft shadow, and film grain. Ten backdrops are included and Auto samples the colours of the shot itself, with padding, corners, shadow, and social ratios adjustable in Settings, Screenshots. The raw capture stays in history beside the framed one, so an older screenshot can be re-plated at any time with Add Backdrop, and pressing Space during a capture switches to a dragged region that smart crop trims to the object. Everything is composited on your Mac, and because macOS runs the capture through its own picker the app never asks for the Screen Recording permission. This release also fixes copied UTF-16 text keeping an invisible byte-order mark on macOS 14 and 15.
A new Studio tab in Settings lays out the whole day, from first coffee to lights-out, with every OneKapisch app in its place and Clip 4 Breakfast marked you are here, plus links to the free, open-source projects and the writing. The Settings tab bar is redesigned with an icon over each label and a full-cell click target, a licensed Mac now shows Clip 4 Breakfast Pro across the app rather than only on the License page, and Settings, General gains a Questions or feedback contact that opens a pre-filled support email.
Every non-Pro user now sees a clear Get Pro path in the command center, and the Settings License tab shows it during a trial, not only on Free. Get Pro opens the secure Lemon Squeezy checkout directly, a licensed Mac shows Clip 4 Breakfast Pro, and the selected clip row now advertises that Space previews it.
Copy a graphic from Illustrator, Photoshop, or Preview and paste it back with fidelity instead of code. The full data stays on disk and only a thumbnail stays in memory, so a history of large PDFs never grows the app footprint. 1.2 also adds a toggle to hide the menu bar icon, with your shortcut still opening history.
Sequential delivery now preserves the next item after failure, serializes repeated shortcuts, supports retry, restart, reordering, and an explicit temporary-lifetime model.
A signed one-shot helper now keeps provider materialization outside the permanent process. A 52,428,801-byte promised PNG stored zero rows and remained fully pasteable.
Indexed search, Keepers, retention budgets, performance diagnostics, app exclusions, onboarding, native settings, Maccy migration, signing checks, and appearance fixtures passed their automated gates.
